August 29, 2009

Yesterday was super hectic. But anyways Open House was GREAT!!!!! My mom met all the teachers that i wanted her to meet, so that was exciting!! Yesterday afternoon Darrell wasn't on the bus, but his sister was. So now my friend Kayla and Darrell's sister Jasmine are going to try and hook me up with Darrell even though I told them not to. So I'm kinda scared for monday to come. Today while My mom, Aunt Toni and Cija are at work I am staying at Aunt Toni's house to Pet sit and wait for the matinence guy(my mom's friend) to come fix the ceiling fan. So While I'm here I am going to work on my World Geography project and update my blog. So if I think of something else I'll post it but I think that is all I have.

August 27, 2009

Today was a pretty wonderful day. In ROTC we learned how to put the flag up on the flag pole. And also take it down off the flag pole. My class did not get to meet the new lieutenant yet until today. Darrell and I talked on the bus as usual. And his sister figured out that I like him but, she isn't going to say anything. So tonight is open house for the parents to come in and meet the teachers, my mother and I are going to that this evening, so that is exciting!! YAY!!! I'm very excited!! I am really starting to love school!! So that is it for today. I will post again tomorrow :)

August 26, 2009

Today was an absolutely fantabulous day! the weather was gorgeous, school was school, but I was just all around happy and cheerful. I had Spanish class today, we learned the colors and the basic greetings. it was beautiful!!! :) I love being around people. and school is the perfect place to do that. I make new friends every single day, with out fail. I even am starting to like my teachers [scary, but true]. One of the guys I like, Darell, is so funny and sweet today we were in the hall and i passed him and I waved at him and bumped in to him, on purpose, and he got so excited to see me! That made me happy. But that is about all I have for today. I'll update again tomorrow.

August 25, 2009

Today was a great day. I had NJ ROTC (Naval Junior Reserve Training Corps) today, and there s this guy in there named Nick. I kinda like him. But anyways, today in ROTC we got fitted for trousers so we are that much closer to having our uniforms. I am so excited! Sometime soon there is going to be a parade and Allatoona High School band is going to be in it. As well as Allatoona High School's NJ ROTC unit will be in the parade. We can sign up for it. I plan to sign up for it as well as Color guard, and Drill team. So I am most definitely excited about that. And this guy Darell who rides my bus is really sweet and cute. We talk every day on the bus. But that is all I have for today. so I'll update again tomorrow.

School

School is amazing!! I go to Allatoona High School. I am a freshman. It is fun though. I enjoy the people and the environment, the school atmosphere. It is a joyous experience that most people take for granted, because honestly I feel privileged to be able to go to school, I know this sounds like a school paper but I'm serious. In some countries females let alone children aren't able to attend school. And I feel honored to be given the right to be in a public school. I would have never said this when I was in middle school. I absolutely loathed middle school. Middle school was the hardest, not because of the amount of work or the difficulty of the work but because of the transition period that you go through in middle school, going through puberty and not fitting into a certain "clique" or not fitting in to the right mold that all the popular kids set, not being able to afford the "cool" clothes that make you popular, not being "skinny". Middle school was definitely the hardest years for me. And so far this year it seems that high school is going to be different. In high school people don't so much pay attention to the way people dress or what you look like. People mature in high school and actually turn into real human beings that care about other people, and people actually start to learn how to take care of themselves and grow up, and high school does prepare you for the real world. Because you learn responsibility and good work ethics and learn how to take care of yourself and stand up for others that can't stand up for themselves. High school is a life changing experience and I have only just begun the journey. I hope that I can make a difference at my school and maybe even make a difference in someone Else's life.
